Doula Services
Our team of doulas provides both daytime and overnight support to families across the Puget Sound area. Our doulas enter each home nonjudgmentally with warmth and respect, supporting parents as they build confidence and adjust to this new chapter.

We also offer 3 complimentary prenatal sessions which include postpartum planning, lactation counseling, and parent education.

Overnight Postpartum Care
Overnights are 8+ hours of care to provide rest for parents and care for your new little one or little ones. We aim to ensure that both parents and baby have a restful night with their needs met.

During the shift, we will take care of feeding (if bottle-fed), swaddling, diapering, soothing, and helping your little one get back to sleep. If your baby is breast-fed, we will bring baby to you to nurse and then take care of everything else.

Additional options: Light, baby-related household tasks (ie, bottle sterilizing, preparing bottles, and laundry), light meal prep (most meal prep is during daytime shifts)

Daytime Postpartum Care
Daytime shifts are 4+ hours, and provide care for the whole family as needed. We provide non-judgmental care that respects each family's cultural and personal values. Our role is to be a calm presence that supports rather than disrupts.
A family can choose to integrate as few or as many of the care options listed below.

Care forms include, but are not limited to:

-
Newborn care support, including soothing techniques, diapering, bathing, learning cues, and safe sleep education.

-
Feeding support for breast, bottle, or combination feeding, including positioning, proper latching, and answering common questions.

-
Parent education and hands-on guidance to build confidence in infant care and parenting style, including tools to set desired boundaries with family and friends.

-
Emotional support and reassurance during the postpartum adjustment period, including birth story processing.

-
Light household support related to the newborn care, such as washing bottles or pump parts, baby laundry, and tidying nursery spaces.

-
Meal preparation designed for postpartum recovery.

-
Sibling support to make sure the whole family feels cared for during the integration of a new member.

-
Postpartum recovery support for the birthing parent, such as guidance on perineal care routines, incision care reminders, use of comfort tools recommended by healthcare providers, and education on expected physical and emotional shifts.

-
Resource sharing and referrals to help families receive the best care they can.

*Important Note: A postpartum doula's role is non-medical and does not include any medical advice, suggested diagnoses, or administration of medication.*

If you have any questions about the scope of care or specifics for any of the care types, feel free to reach out to us via the questions or contact pages.
*If you would like either parent education or lactation sessions without a doula package, please indicate your preference on our doula contact form. Families who receive our complimentary sessions through their doula package may also book further sessions with our providers as needed.
Complimentary Sessions
Our goal is to ensure that all families we work with feel they have a community of birth and postpartum providers behind them. We build this community through 3 prenatal sessions with 3 of our team members.

1) Postpartum Planning Session with Your Doula
This one-hour session is designed to help you prepare for the postpartum period with confidence. You and your doula will discuss creating a postpartum support plan, preparing your home, coordinating appointments and healthcare providers, setting expectations as a couple, what to expect during your hospital stay and once you return home, local resources, and any questions or concerns you may have.
Every session is tailored to your family’s unique needs and priorities. It is also a wonderful opportunity to get to know your doula before your baby arrives and to show her around your home so she can become familiar with the spaces where she will be providing support.
2) Prenatal or Postpartum Lactation Consultation with Our IBCLC
This complimentary consultation is most commonly scheduled during pregnancy (around 35-37 weeks), although families are welcome to use it at any point during their time with us.
Prenatal consultations typically cover topics such as breastfeeding basics, achieving a comfortable latch, nursing positions, common feeding challenges, the progression of milk production, pump selection and flange fitting, prenatal hand expression, feeding resources, and any questions you may have before your baby’s arrival.
We’ve found that meeting your IBCLC before birth helps establish a trusted relationship and makes it easier to reach out for support during the postpartum period.
Postpartum consultations focus on any feeding concerns that arise after your baby is born. However, postpartum consultations also cover many of the same topics as the prenatal meetings.
3) Parent Education Session
This personalized session is led by our parent educator, who has supported families throughout the Seattle area for more than 15 years. She is certified as a Bringing Baby Home educator through the Gottman Institute.
Each session is customized to your family’s individual goals and covers communication, navigating the transition to parenthood, newborn care, managing expectations, and building confidence as new parents.
